[FGM-1] Miniature Magnetic Field Sensor
$
59.50

This is a miniature version of the original standard FGM-3 type of sensor.

It is essentially a three terminal device, (Gnd., +5 volts and Output) but a fourth terminal has been added which gives access to an internal over wound coil.

This coil can be used to alter the zero field output frequency or as a feedback coil for linearity improvement. (see application notes).

The output is in the form of a robust 5 volt rectangular pulse, whose period varies in proportion to the field along the principle axis of the device. Field Range + 0.7 oersted (+ 70 µ tesla).

[FGM-2] Magnetic Field Sensor, 2 Axis

This sensor consists of two FGM-1 devices molded into a circular package at right angles to each other.

This sensor is intended for use in field vector magnitude and direction finding systems.

It can be used in two dimensional compass systems and in conjunction with an additional FMG-1 for three dimensional systems such as virtual reality and antenna orientation, for example

[FGM-3] Magnetic Field Sensor
$
52.25

This is the original and larger version of the sensor, the size is 60 mm long by 15 mm in diameter.

It has a somewhat higher sensitivity than the FGM-1 making it more suitable in some applications where size is not important.

It has the same type of output as the other devices and is fitted with an over wound coil with a Field Range of  + 0.7 oersted (+ 70 µ tesla).

[FGM-3h] Magnetic Field Sensor, High Field Sensitivity with Limited Dynamic Range
$
62.50

The FGM-3h has approximately 2.5 times the sensitivity of the FGM-3 sensor.

The dynamic range for the FGm-3h is  + 0.15 oersted or one-third the field strength of the earth's magnetic feild.

For this reason the FGM-3h MUST be oriented in an EAST-WEST direction to remain with in the linear portion oft its output/field curve.

To observe small field variations with an ambient field exceeding the 0.15 oersted, the internal feedback coil of the FGM-3h may be used to null out the ambient field thereby allowing the sensor to remain within its linear operating range.

The coil current supply should be regulated, as any fluctuation will be sensed by the FGM-3h as a change in field strength.
